Our Work in Woodworking Education
Real projects helping Latvian hobbyists master traditional carving and modern workshop skills
12-Week Beginner Woodworking Course
Developed a structured curriculum for 28 participants ages 16–65 at Riga Community Centre. Covered hand tool fundamentals, safety practices, and completing 3 simple projects—a cutting board, small shelf, and decorative box. 89% of participants completed all projects.
Traditional Latvian Carving Masterclass
Created a 6-week intensive program teaching chip and relief carving techniques based on historical Latvian patterns. 16 participants learned to carve traditional motifs used in folk art for over 300 years. Each student completed a decorative panel suitable for home display.
Home Workshop Planning Guide
Designed a budget-friendly workshop setup resource for DIY enthusiasts with limited space. The guide covers essential tools (under 150€), safe workbench configurations, and tool organization strategies. Over 340 hobbyists have used this guide to set up their first workshops in apartments and small houses across Latvia.
Baltic Timber Sourcing Directory
Compiled a comprehensive guide to 12 local kokmateriālu suppliers across Latvia specializing in Baltic timber. Includes information on wood types (oak, ash, birch), pricing, delivery options, and how to select quality materials for different projects. Updated quarterly based on supplier feedback.
